Medi-Spa at Mercy: Advanced Laser Treatments

Profractional Laser Treatment

As seen on Oprah and The Today Show, the Profractional Laser Treatment is the best skin rejuvenation treatment to date.

The Profractional Laser penetrates deeply into the dermis with thousands of pinpoint areas of the skin. The treated areas stimulate production of new collagen, plumping up the skin and smoothing out wrinkles, lines, scars and spots. The areas of untreated skin invigorate the body’s natural healing process. And the best part is that the healing time takes only 1-3 days.

Profractional Laser Treatments are effective for:

  • Wrinkles
  • Fine lines
  • Acne scars
  • Post-traumatic scars
  • Acne spots
  • Sun spots
  • Freckles
  • Aging skin
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Stretch marks

The most popular areas to be treated are the face, neck, chest, shoulders, and hands.

A topical numbing cream will be applied 30 minutes prior to procedure to optimize comfort.

A typical treatment program consists of 1-5 profractionals, spaced 3-6 weeks apart. A personalized cosmetic treatment plan will be devised in order to reach the level of improvement you desire.

And again, the healing process is only 1-3 days.

MicroLaserPeel
The "weekend" skin peel, the MicroLaserPeel treats skin conditions associated with aging and an active lifestyle. The MicroLaserPeel is an intra-epidermal laser peel that precisely ablates the outermost layers of the skin. The procedure is individually tailored to the nature of the condition to be corrected. Skin conditions such as wrinkles, scars, acne scars, keratoses, or pigment problems have been very successfully treated with a MicroLaserPeel.

While microdermabrasion only removes the stratum corneum (10 microns), the MicroLaserPeel is a partial-to-full epidermal peel (20-50 microns) and is performed with topical anesthesia. Typically the procedure is repeated 2-4 times, spaced 6-8 weeks apart, but many peels may be done to achieve the desired result.

ClearScan Laser Hair Removal
ClearScan contains an infrared laser that can selectively target microstructures such as hair follicles. It is very effective for lighter skin types and, because of the relatively low absorption of this light by melanin, it is the best choice when treating darker skin types. Additionally the ability to safely treat sun-tanned skin makes this the treatment of choice for active individuals. The ClearScan laser selectively targets your hair follicles and heats them with infrared energy. Unlike other processes, the laser beam treats many hairs at once, making treatment of large areas practical. The CleanScan employs a unique computer-guided scanning system that automates the treatment, ensuring that your skin is rapidly and evenly treated. The computer sets the parameters and places the beam in an optimum pattern for your skin to ensure a safe, fast, effective and gently treatment.

Some redness and slight swelling may be present in the area that has been treated; however, this should subside within a few hours. If any prolonged redness or swelling occurs, consult your physician. Keep the treated area clean, use at least SPF 15 sunscreen when outdoors and follow your physician's instructions. You may need to be treated 3-5 times at intervals of 3-8 weeks. There are three phases of hair growth: anagen, catagen and telogen. Only hairs in the active growth phase, anagen, can be successfully treated.

Profile Vascular Laser for Veins and Redness
Profile is a new laser using infrared energy and a new standard for the treatment of many skin conditions. Profile allows your physician to precisely treat visible vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions and discoloration of your skin. Conditions that can be treated with the Profile laser include Rosacea, Redness, Facial Veins, Spider Veins, Broken Capillaries, Redness, Telangiectasia (small facial veins). Unwanted vessels will be preferentially heated by the laser's energy and become less noticeable. All skin areas can be treated. Popular areas are the face, neck, chest and legs. Discuss your needs with your physician.

Profile BBL Broadband Light Laser for Photorejuvenation
BBL broadband light's innovative technology sets new standards for the treatment of skin conditions associated with aging, active life-styles and sun damage. BBL broadband light energy allows your physician to precisely treat fine wrinkles, age spots, small facial veins, rosacea, redness and flushing, solar lentigines (freckles), Cafe Au Lait maculae, brown spots, birth marks, port wine stains, red spots, enlarged pores, poikiloderma, burn erythema, hyperpigmentation, etc. The light energy delivered by the BBL will gently heat up the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to generate new collagen. This will help restore your skin to its natural beauty, blending its natural colors and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking. In addition the photothermal energy will target and eliminate many of the fine vessels that cause redness and the unwanted melanin responsible for pigmented lesions. Typically 2-5 treatments are needed at 2-4 week intervals. This is a non-invasive and gentle procedure with virtually no down time. In most cases you will be able to return to work, apply makeup and resume most of your activities right away.
