Hyung S. Ryu, M.D.

Hyung S. Ryu, M.D., is fellowship trained in gynecologic oncology. He earned his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine where he also completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology. His fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology was completed at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis. Dr. Ryu is a junior fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a fellow in training of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists.

Dr. Ryu has extensive training in appropriate uses for robotic surgery and leading-edge laparoscopic techniques used for the treatment of cancers of the female reproductive tract.

Dr. Ryu is passionate about the care and treatment he offers. He actively participates in research concerning evolving surgical techniques, as well as effective options for expanded chemotherapy regimens with the hope of improving outcomes for patients diagnosed with gynecologic cancers.
