Gynecology Center

The Gynecology Center at Mercy is a part of the nationally renowned Weinberg Center for Women's Health & Medicine. Neil B. Rosenshein, M.D., Medical Director, has established a world renowned medical team utilizing state-of-the-art technology for the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic and reproductive health diseases or conditions.

The Gynecologic Oncology Center provides early detection and screening for the diagnosis and treatment of all gynecologic cancers, including cervical, ovarian, uterine and vaginal. Dr. Rosenshein and his colleague, Dwight D. Im, M.D. are highly respected physicians both for their medical expertise and their compassionate care in the treatment of the gynecologic cancer patient.

The Urogynecology Division, led by Marcella L. Roenneburg, M.D., specializes in the treatment of women with urinary incontinence as well as pelvic prolapse, pelvic reconstruction, interstitial cystitis, recurrent urinary tract infections, fecal incontinence and the special gynecologic needs of senior and handicapped women.

Endoscopy and Pelvic Reconstruction Division is led by Fermin F. Barrrueto, M.D. with expertise in treating abnormal bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, and other reproductive system disorders.

Well-Woman Care and Adolescent Gynecology, led by Christine O. Vergara, M.D., focuses on the gynecologic needs of women from the pre-menstrual years through adulthood.
