Gynecologic oncologist Dwight D. Im, M.D., is Director for The Gynecologic Oncology Center at Mercy Medical Center. A graduate of Princeton University, Dr. Im completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and fellowship at Hopkins under the tutelage of Neil B. Rosenshein, M.D.

Dr. Im's academic appointments include Assistant Professor, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; and Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Maryland. He is Board Certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Im has made numerous professional presentations on topics such as cervical and ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, vaginal lesions, even breast cancer. Dr. Im has had many articles and chapters published on subjects such as ultrasonic surgical techniques, primary lymphoma of the ovary and other issues relative to reproductive cancers. Additional interests include pelvic surgery and treating HPV.

Dr. Im is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (Fellow); the Johns Hopkins Medical and Surgical Association; Mid-Atlantic Gynecologic Oncology Society; the American Medical Association; and Society of Gynecologic Oncologists (full member). He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Women's Imaging; as a reviewer for Gynecologic Oncology and for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
