Maria H. Burkhardt, PA-C, joined The Gynecology Center as the clinical physician's assistant on the inpatient surgical floor. Ms. Burkhardt oversees the care of The Gynecology Center's patients during their hospital stay, offering them an extra measure of care and expertise during their initial recovery.

Ms. Burkhardt received her undergraduate training in Psychology from The University of Maryland Baltimore County, her Physician Assistant Certificate from The Community College of Baltimore County and received her Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration from The College of Notre Dame of Maryland.

Ms. Burkhardt has previous experience in Interventional Radiology and as a Surgical Physician Assistant. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a member of the Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants.
