BACKGROUND: Dr. Sellman has been in medical practice since 1982. A graduate of the University of Maryland Medical School, he completed his residency at the University of Maryland Hospital and his Fellowship in Electromyography and Clinical Neurophysiology at the Academic hospital, Uppsala, Sweden and the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Dr. Sellman is board certified in Neurology.

MISCELLANEOUS: Dr. Sellman is a Clinical Associate Professor in Neurology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Sellman's areas of interest include back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, electrodiagnostic medicine, EMG, neck pain and nerve conduction studies.

Dr. Sellman's professionsal affiliations include memberships in the American Academy of Neurology, the Maryland Neurological Society, the American Academy of Eloctromyography and Electrodiagnosis; the Medical and Chirugical Faculty of Maryland and the American Medical Association. He has a number of clinical journal articles and abstracts to his credit.

Dr. Sellman has a number of honors/awards to his credit, being named most recently a recipient of the Healthcare for the Homeless Service Award; he has been the neurologist for HC4H since 1991.

In 2009 and 2010, Mercy was nationally ranked by U.S. NEWS AND WORLD REPORT (“Best Hospitals” editions) for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
