POSITION/TITLE: Geriatrician and Medical Director, Stella Maris

BACKGROUND: Dr. Wright has been seeing patients ages 65 and older in the Timonium, MD area as a geriatrician with Stella Maris, Central Maryland’s largest long-term care facility, and Mercy Ridge, senior living community, since 2003. She received her medical degree in 1990 from the University of Manchester Medical School in Manchester, England, completing her residency in Internal Medicine in 1997 at Western Pennsylvania Hospital and her Gerontology Fellowship in 1998 at George Washington University Hospital. She has received medical certifications from the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Care, the American Board of Internal Medicine-Geriatrics, the American Board of Internal Medicine and as Member of the Royal College of Physicians, U.K.

MISCELLANEOUS: Dr. Wright has received honors in Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, and Pediatrics as well. Her teaching activities include service from 2009 to the present as a Clinical Tutor, Geriatrics Fellowship Program, at the University of Maryland. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Geriatric Society and is a Certified Medical Director with the American Medical Director’s Association.
