BACKGROUND: Dr. Lauring served as Chief Resident in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Maryland Medical Systems where she also completed her internship in internal medicine. A graduate of Yale University, Dr. Lauring earned her M.S. degree in physiology from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

MISCELLANEOUS: With numerous research and academic achievements to her credit, Dr. Lauring received the Elijah Adams Prize in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
