POSITION/TITLE: Director for The Gynecologic Oncology Center at Mercy Medical Center

BACKGROUND: A graduate of Princeton University, Dr. Im completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Im's academic appointments include Assistant Professor, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; and Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Maryland. He is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Im is board certified in gynecologic oncology.

Dr. Im is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (Fellow); the Johns Hopkins Medical and Surgical Association; Mid-Atlantic Gynecologic Oncology Society; the American Medical Association; and Society of Gynecologic Oncologists (full member).

MISCELLANEOUS: Dr. Im has made numerous professional presentations on such topics as cervical and ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, vaginal lesions, even breast cancer. Dr. Im has has many articles and chapters published on such subjects as ultrasonic surgical techniques, primary lymphoma of the ovary and other issues relative to reproductive cancers. Additional interests include pelvic surgery and treating HPV.
