Ira E. Hantman, M.D., F.A.C.S.FIELD: Urology POSITION/TITLE: Urologist, The Urology Specialists of Maryland BACKGROUND: Dr. Hantman received his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1976. Recipient of the A. Bradley Gaither Urology Award from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Hantman is board certified by the American Board of Urology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He completed his General Surgery and Urology residencies at the University of Maryland Hospital. Dr. Hantman completed a Pediatric Urology Fellowship and received a Business of Medicine Degree from the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Hantman has been President of the Medical Staff at Mercy Medical Center. He is a member of the Baltimore City Medical Society, Medical Surgical Society of Maryland, American Urological Association, Maryland Urological Association, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is now a member of the Urology Specialists of Maryland with fellow urologists Drs. Stanley Silber, Robert Thompson and Alan Kusakabe. MISCELLANEOUS: Dr. Hantman provides treatment through medication, physical therapy, biofeedback and kegle exercises; behavioral therapy; collagen injection; surgical procedures, etc. The Urology Specialists of Maryland provide diagnostic methods and treatments for a wide range of urological disorders including prostate, bladder, and kidney disease.
