FIELD: Psychology
POSITION/TITLE: Licensed psychologist specializing
in geriatric issues, family and individual therapy; provides consultation
at Stella Maris, Central Maryland's largest long-term care facility
and part of Mercy since 1997.
BACKGROUND: Licensed by the Maryland State Board
of Examiners of Psychology and Registrant with the National Register
of Health Service Providers in Psychology, Dr. Ensor operates
a private practice in psychology and also provides geriatric assessment
and treatment at Stella Maris long term care facility.
She earned her B.S. and M.S. from the University of Maryland
School of Nursing and received her Ph.D. from the University of
Maryland, Baltimore County, in Clinical Psychology. She has led
numerous workshops in her field, including substance abuse and
elderly, understanding dementia and memory loss in old age, dealing
with agitation in Alzheimer's cases, the cognitive assessment
of the elderly, and related issues.
Dr. Ensor has published in the mental health and substance abuse/addiction
fields.
MISCELLANEOUS: Dr. Ensor is a member of the
Maryland Psychological Association.
