Mercy Medical Center's 25th Anniversary Gala, "Mercy Magic," Raises Nearly $300,000 For Hospital's Services And Programs
The 25th anniversary “Mercy Magic” gala was held on Sat., Nov. 5th at M&T Bank Stadium and raised nearly $300,000 for the programs and services of the 137-year-old, downtown hospital. The event was a “trip down memory lane” for the more than 750 people who attended the event. Highlights included a parade of “mini-floats” each featuring the theme of a past Mercy Magic, going back to 1986; themes included a visit to Camelot, the “high seas” (at National Aquarium in 1994), Carnivale (1996), jungle safari (1998), sci-fi (2000), a Beatles-style retrospective (2002), a Broadway theme (2003), and most recently our celebration of the new Mary Catherine Bunting Center. Guests were encouraged to wear a “splash of silver” in honor of the 25 years.
