Anurag Maheshwari, M.D., Joins Mercy's Institute For Digestive Health And Liver Disease
Gastroenterologist Anurag Maheshwari, M.D. has joined the medical staff of The Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease at Mercy Medical Center, located on the 7th floor of Mercy’s Professional Office Building.
Dr. Maheshwari received his medical degree from the University of Bombay, India and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Dr. Maheshwari completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology as well as an advanced fellowship in Transplant Hepatology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He also served as a junior faculty member in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Maheshwari has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has many presentations to his credit including invited talks at various conferences and hospital grand rounds around the country. He is a member of the American Association for Study of Liver Diseases.
Dr. Maheshwari joins renowned physicians Drs. Paul Thuluvath, Mary Harris, and Sergey Kantsevoy, as well as gastroenterologists Drs. David Posner, Michael Cox, Scott Huber, Patrick Hyatt, and Sanjay Jagannath, and colon-rectal surgeon, Dr. Debra Vachon. Gastroenterologists Drs. Richard Desi and Laura Pichney are also members of the Institute, bringing expertise in community colorectal screening.
