Mercy Women's Imaging Center to Offer Discount on Mammograms in Honor of National Mammography Day, Friday, October 26th

Mercy Medical Center’s Women’s Imaging Center, located on the 5th floor of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center for Women’s Health and Medicine at 227 St. Paul Place, will offer screening mammograms at a discounted rate on Friday, Oct. 26th, 2007, in recognition of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and National Mammography Day.

According to Dr. Barbara Jaeger, Director of Women’s Imaging at Mercy, mammograms will be available by appointment only at a cost of only $90 of which patients would be responsible for 50% of the cost at the time of their exam. Screening mammograms typically cost approximately $300.

The special discount is for patients who are self-paid (that is, do not qualify for Medicaid and do not carry health insurance).

Women’s Imaging will be conducting mammogram screenings all day, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
