Mercy Will Sponsor The 2008 Komen Maryland Race For Cure On Sunday, October 19th

On Sunday, October 19, 2008, Mercy Medical Center will be a Sponsor for the 2008 KOMEN Maryland Race for the Cure. The Susan G. Komen Foundation’s pledge is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.

Those interested in representing Mercy in this race may log onto www.komenmd.org to register. Race Day registration will also be available at the Hunt Valley Towne Centre. Register by Wednesday, October 1, 2008, and your Komen T-shirt and bib number will be sent directly to you. Mercy hopes to send at least 100 representatives to the race.

The 5K race takes place in Hunt Valley at 8:00 am beginning on the corner of McCormick Road and Schilling Circle. Mercy participants will meet in the Outback Steakhouse Parking Lot prior to the race.
