“Mood Swings” Live Band to Perform Music of the 30s, 40s and 50s at Mercy Magic Gala on Oct. 24th at M&T Bank Stadium
Billed as “Baltimore’s youngest and swingin’-est big band,” Mood Swings was formed in 1995 and features 18 musicians and vocalists, many under the age of 30. Mood Swings is one of the areas most popular bands, with an ever expanding schedule of public and private gigs, everything from weddings to big corporate parties, and now “Mercy Magic.”
Now in its 23rd year, Mercy Magic is Mercy Medical Center’s signature gala and always feature a fun and festive theme. This year’s theme is “Mercy in the City, a celebration of brick, glass and metal—symbols of Mercy’s steadfast commitment to the people of Baltimore,” as made manifest in the new, state-of-the-art, Mary Catherine Bunting Center (to open in 2011).
Mood Swings will provide the evening’s entertainment on the Club Level of M&T Bank Stadium, 6-11 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 24th with an energetic style reminiscent of the big bands of the 1930s, 40s and 50s. For more information on Mood Swings, visit their website at www.moodswings.com.
