Drs. Clayton L. Dean And Janna Mudd Join Mercy Medical Center

Orthopedic surgeon Clayton L. Dean, M.D., has joined the Maryland Spine Center at Mercy Medical Center, and Janna Mudd, M.D., has joined the obstetrics-and-gynecology practice of Mercy’s Dr. Teresa Hoffman, OB/GYN, representatives of the 135-year-old downtown hospital have announced.

Dr. Dean, received his medical degree from the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.

Board eligible by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Dean joins the medical staff of the Maryland Spine Center at Mercy. Prior to joining Mercy, Dr. Dean completed his Fellowship in Orthopedic Spine Surgery at The Emory Orthopaedic and Spine Center, Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, where he also served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.

He completed his General Surgery internship and his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Medical Center.

Dr. Dean has numerous clinical publications, presentations, awards and honors to his credit.

The Maryland Spine Center is located on the main floor of the hospital at 301 St. Paul Place in Baltimore City.

Dr. Mudd, who earned her medical degree at the Drexel University College of Medicine, completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Maryland Medical Center

Dr. Mudd has numerous honors and awards to her credit, and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (Junior Fellow) and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Mudd is now a member of the OB/GYN practice of Dr. Teresa Hoffman, M.D. and Associates, LLC, joining Dr. Terry Hoffman, MD, Kate Abello, MD, Carol Anne Phillips, MD, and Erika Lynn Nichelson, DO. Dr . Mudd will see patients at the practice offices in the Professional Office Building at Mercy, in Dundalk, MD and at 7001 Johnnycake Road, Suite 105 in Windsor Mill, MD.
