Terri Palazzo, RN, MS, to lead transition planning for Mercy Health Services, preparing for move to new Mary Catherine Bunting Center

Terri Palazzo, RN, MS, Named Senior Director Of Transition Planning For Mercy Health Services

Terri Palazzo, RN, MS, has been named as Senior Director of Transition Planning for Mercy Health Services, Mercy Medical Center, as the downtown Baltimore City hospital prepares to relocate numerous patient care operations to the new $400+ million Mary Catherine Bunting Center, now under construction.

Prior to joining Mercy, Ms. Palazzo served as Director of Master Site Transition Planning for St. Joseph Medical Center, overseeing the transition for the center’s new hospital main entrance and Heart Institute.

In her role at Mercy, Ms. Palazzo will work with multiple teams in the development of new work processes, staffing, efficiency planning, and various aspects of patient care as services move from Mercy’s current inpatient Tower Building to the 18-story Bunting Center on Saint Paul Place.

Ms. Palazzo has nearly 30 years experience in nursing, holding a variety of leadership positions in both the clinical and administrative fields. She has also served as Director of Nursing and Operations for St. Joseph’s Heart Institute; Director of Cardiac Services for Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and as a clinical staff nurse for North Arundel Hospital.

Ms. Palazzo received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1992 and her Master of Science in Nursing Administration in 1997 from Georgetown University.

She has numerous awards, publications and presentations to her credit and is a member of various professional organizations including the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). She is a resident of Pylesville, MD, in Harford County.
