Michelle Bravo, RD, LDN, DCE, Joins Mercy Medical Center As Director Of Diabetes Education

BALTIMORE, MD – Certified diabetes educator and registered dietitian Michelle Bravo, RD, LDN, CDE, has joined Mercy Medical Center as Director of Diabetes Education for the Division of Endocrinology. Ms. Bravo has experience in the areas of diabetes, critical care, hepatic, renal, gastrointestinal disorders, HIV/AIDS, oncology, wound care, obstetrics and long term care.

Prior to joining Mercy, Ms. Bravo served as Program Coordinator for the Johns Hopkins University Diabetes Center. She has also held positions with the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and the Naples Community Hospital.

Ms. Bravo received her B.S. in Food and Nutrition in 2002 from Florida State University, completing her Dietetic Internship at Johns Hopkins Bayview in 2004.

Recognized as the Young Dietitian of the Year by the Maryland Dietetic Association (2007-2008), Ms. Bravo is an active member of the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Diabetes Educators, and the American Dietetic Association. She serves as scholarship chair to the Maryland Dietetic Association Foundation.

Ms. Bravo is a resident of Canton/Brewer’s Hill in Baltimore City, MD.
