The 2011 MammoJam Music Festival, Saturday, May 14th Featuring Julian Velard and Magnetic Ear, with Nelly's Echo, Benefits Mercy’s Hoffberger Breast Center

Julian Velard returns from his UK tour to join New Orleans' emerging artists Magnetic Ear and local favorite Nelly's Echo for the 8th Annual MammoJam Music Festival on May 14th at Federal Hill's 8x10. Doors open at 6:30pm. Proceeds benefit The Hoffberger Breast Center and other local programs that provide breast cancer screening and treatment for the underserved.

"This is the strongest, most diverse MammoJam line up that we've ever had." said Bill Romani, founder of MammoJam. "It's a credit to the success of our festival and the efforts of our volunteers that such an outstanding slate of artists are joining us in support women and families touched by breast cancer." In addition to the live music MammoJam guests will receive complimentary food from over 20 of Federal Hill's finest taverns and restaurants and two free drinks

Tickets are $40 in advance and can be purchased at www.mammojammusicfestival.org. Tickets are $50 at the door, but advance purchase is recommended due to the event’s overwhelming popularity.

MammoJam is an all volunteer nonprofit organization that uses live music performances to promote the importance of early breast cancer screening and treatment for local underinsured and low income women. Each year 100% of the profits from the annual "MammmoJam Music Festival" support vital breast cancer programs at Mercy Medical Center and other local hospitals.
