Mercy Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Kamala Littleton Leads A Free Seminar On Anterior Hip Replacement On Saturday, April 2nd
Dr. Kamala Littleton of The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital at Mercy leads a free seminar, “Anterior Hip Replacement,” Saturday, April 2nd, 10-11 a.m. at the Best Western in Westminster, 451 WMC Drive, Westminster, MD, 21158. A continental breakfast will be served.
The seminar will provide an overview of:
- Advantages of less-invasive anterior hip replacement
- Differences from other types of hip replacement surgeries
- Who makes a good candidate for the anterior hip
- Recovery process after an anterior hip replacement
|
“Anterior hip replacement offers improved quality of life. There’s a faster recovery versus other types of hip replacement surgery. It’s less invasive, since muscle is not detached or cut. There are minimal hip precautions or restrictions following surgery. And patients are typically off of a cane within two weeks, driving and back to work in five to 10 days,” Dr. Littleton said, noting that physicians work with the patients to determine their optimal recovery time.
To register for this free seminar call 410-539-2241.
