Mammojam Music Festival on January 28, 2006 to Benefit Hoffberger Breast Center at Mercy

The 3rd annual MammoJam Music Festival, a day-long music festival dedicated to benefit the Hoffberger Breast Center at Mercy Medical Center, will be held on Saturday, January 28th from 6 p.m.-Midnight at the Eight by Ten Club in Baltimore's Federal Hill. This year's musical guests include Baltimore acts the Grilled Lincolns, the Pale Stars, and the Seldon Plan, as well as Alexandria, Virginia's the Reserves. In addition to an evening filled with music, MammoJam will also feature a silent auction and food from some of South Baltimore's best local restaurants.

MammoJam Music Festival is sponsored by Advertising.com, headquartered in Baltimore's Locust Point. Advertising.com also provides corporate support for MammoJam's sister event, BreastFest, held annually in October.

"Like BreastFest, the MammoJam Music Festival serves to promote breast cancer awareness, and the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and related disease," said Neil B. Friedman, M.D., Director of The Hoffberger Breast Center.

BreastFest is a tribute to the memory of Tyanna O'Brien who died of breast cancer in 1990. Her legacy of a commitment to breast cancer awareness and prevention is realized each year through BreastFest events organized by her five daughters in Athens, GA, Clemson, SC, Baltimore, MD, and New York City. Last year, BreastFest, Baltimore and MammoJam raised more than $45,000 for the Hoffberger Breast Center at Mercy Medical Center. For more information, log on to www.breastfest.org.
