By joining our team, you will be able to access these cutting-edge resources easily and integrate them into your personal treatment plan. We are currently involved in several research areas:

• Oral Insulin Spray Studies
• Evaluation of the newest oral and injectable diabetes medications to achieve best blood glucose control
• Navigator Trial (Insulin Resistance)
  

We are also using a Continuous Glucose Monitoring System in some studies to provide up to a 72 hour picture of blood glucose levels. This device measures your blood glucose every 10 seconds and averages it every 5 minutes producing a continuous graphical picture of your glucose levels over a three day span.

We are seeking patients for participation in all clinical trials. You may receive free examinations at the Diabetes Center at Mercy as a part of the study. You may also receive free medication and supplies or possibly be paid a small stipend for your valuable time if you choose to participate.
