About Our Center and Expertise

The Vascular Center at Mercy is a comprehensive facility specifically designed for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with circulatory problems. The Center is equipped with an accredited non-invasive diagnostic laboratory that conforms to the national standards.

Elliott Badder, M.D., Paul Lucas, M.D., and James Guzzo, M.D., have extensive experience performing minimally invasive treatments for vascular disorders. They employ the most advanced techniques for treating diseased blood vessels, including balloon angioplasty, stents, and aneurysm repair, which do not require major surgery. The surgeons also perform bypass surgery of the legs and other areas; repair arteries of the neck to prevent strokes; perform minimally invasive catheter procedures to unblock blood vessels and repair aneurysms; and remove varicose veins without major incisions.

The Vascular Center’s technologists are fully certified and trained to provide patients with the latest method for diagnosis of circulatory problems like stroke and mini-stroke, leg claudication, swelling of the leg and venous ulcers and phlebitis.
