Orthopedics & Joint Replacement

The Mercy Orthopedics and Joint Replacement Division specializes in arthroscopies, hip and knee replacements, general orthopedics, and sports and occupational orthopedics. Complementing Mercy’s programs in foot and ankle surgery, spine surgery, women’s orthopedics and restorative therapies, the Division provides comprehensive orthopedic care with a focus on the individual needs of each patient. With experienced surgeons on the forefront of new orthopedic advances, Mercy is among the first hospitals in the region performing minimally invasive knee and hip replacement.

The Division is led by Thomas V. Whitten, M.D., Chief of Orthopedics at Mercy Medical Center and Medical Director of The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital at Mercy. The Division’s team of skilled orthopedic surgeons includes Joseph John Ciotola, M.D. and Kamala H. Littleton, M.D.
