With expertise in interventional pulmonology including the availability of numerous bronchoscopic and pleuroscopic procedures, The Lung Center at Mercy provides advanced diagnostic methods and treatments for lung disorders including lung cancers. The Lung Center utilizes cutting-edge technology, such as autofluorescence bronchoscopy, capable of detecting lung cancer in its earliest stages, in combination with traditional pulmonary diagnostic methods like pulmonary function tests and chest CT scans, to provide patients with the most complete diagnosis and the most optimal treatment plan.

Working in close collaboration with referring physicians and a multidisciplinary team, the specialists of The Lung Center construct individually-targeted treatment plans whether the goal is to cure, slow disease progression or provide relief even when diseases are past curable stages. With involvement in ongoing research, the physicians of The Lung Center aspire to contribute to the technological and biological advances that lead to medical breakthroughs in the treatment of lung disease.
