Marvin Jack Feldman, M.D.Marvin Jack Feldman, M.D., is the chief of Medical Oncology and Hematology at Mercy Medical Center. He earned both his B.A. and medical degree from The George Washington University, graduating with honors from both programs. Dr. Feldman is widely published and has performed original research. A member of numerous medical societies, including the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology, Dr. Feldman also has been a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and serves as chairman of Mercy's Cancer Committee. Dr. Feldman was recognized by Baltimore Magazine as one of Baltimore's "Top Doctors" in the Oncology category.
John C. Downs, M.D.John C. Downs, M.D., received his medical degree from State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, New York. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University. Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Downs completed his Clinical Research Fellowship in Oncology and Hematology at the University of Maryland Cancer Center. Dr. Downs is a member of MedChi Baltimore County, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology. His clinical interests include breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, hematologic malignancies and benign hematology. Richard L. Huslig, M.D.Richard L. Huslig, M.D., earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Dr. Huslig completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at University of Maryland and the Baltimore Veterans Hospital. He also completed an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Huslig earned a Doctorate in Biochemistry from the University of Miami. Dr. Huslig has authored numerous publications and is a member of the American College of Physicians and MedChi of Baltimore County. Sandy D. Kotiah, M.D.Sandy D. Kotiah, M.D., is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Hematology Oncology. She received her medical degree from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine, Buffalo, New York. Dr. Kotiah completed her Internal Medicine residency and fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. Dr. Kotiah is certified in performing bone marrow biopsies and administering intrathecal chemotherapy. She has authored numerous publications and is an experienced researcher. Dr. Kotiah has served as a clinical instructor and speaks fluent French and Creole.
Peter Ledakis, M.D.Peter Ledakis, M.D., is a graduate of the University of Athens Medical School, Athens, Greece, and completed his residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, and his fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the National Cancer Institute and the National Blood Institute (N.I.H.). Prior to coming to Mercy, Dr. Ledakis practiced as an attending physician at the Saint Francis Cancer Treatment Center in Nebraska and was assistant professor at the University of Nebraska School of Medicine. He is Board Certified in Hematology, Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine.
David A. Riseberg, M.D.David A. Riseberg, M.D., received his medical training and performed his residency at the University of Maryland Medical System, graduating with honors. He went on to do a fellowship at the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health, joining Mercy as a clinical oncologist in 1995. Dr. Riseberg is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and certified in the subspecialties of medical oncology and hematology. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists, for whom he has presented and published original research on cancer and cancer treatments.
